Into The Great Wide Open – Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers (Cover)

Found this rather nice cover of Into The Great Wide Open by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers amongst my old recordings. I recorded this in November of 2010. It’s a solo acoustic performance done in one take with a single microphone.

Back in September of this year I did a deep dive into my old DAW files, started cleaning up the mixes on a few originals and cover songs. Found some stuff I’d completely forgotten about! I think this one worked out nicely. Enjoy. And be sure to check out my other recordings here

New Song: “Done”

Strictly speaking, this isn’t an entirely new song, but I’ve been meaning to take another shot at the lead vocal and mix for a while now and…here it is!

This is a song about feeling hopeless at the end of a relationship, but knowing that it could have been much worse had it gone on any longer. It’s about not wanting to let go but knowing you have to.
